Toward the unknown Digital or printed?:Digital (PDF) – available for direct download The main idea for this Digitaal of gedrukt?:Digitaal (pdf) direct te downloaden The main idea for this composition comes from the well known thematic material of España cañí It is a metaphor for two 'timeless' composers who are still great examples for many composers today: Olivier Messiaen and Igor Stravinsky The work is inspired by the theme and program of this production as well as the poem Toward the unknow region by Walth Whitman Toward the unknown was written 'Het Achterhoeks Fanfare Orkest' (conducted by Gerd Wensink) on the occasion of the 2022 production of Celestial Music
